And even helping plan your honeymoon with you.

Can I be married on a public beach or park?

Yes there are several beaches in Airlie to hold your ceremony or ask our wedding coordinator about our custom beach wedding packages on Boathaven Beach, a short 5 minute drive from the resort.  As a permit is strongly recommended, for mainland parks and reserves please contact the Whitsunday Shire Council on 07-4945-0208.

How do we organise everything when we live interstate / overseas?

organise-overseasOur experienced wedding coordinator will advise you on all aspects of your wedding day and honeymoon in the Whitsundays.

With a wealth of experience and knowledge, she will coordinate your whole wedding day based upon your needs, wants and vision for this special occasion.

Rest assured, everything can be remotely organised with the help of our experienced wedding coordinator.

What time of the day is best to get married in tropical North Queensland?

Anytime is beautiful in the tropics, be mindful that it does warm up in the middle of the day in summer. Most weddings tend to take place in the late afternoon, but other conditions may influence your ceremony time depending on your venue and your photographer. At the resort, tides do not affect our spectacular ambience and water views, and we find many couples prefer to have a breakfast or lunch reception to make the most of these views during the daylight hours.

When should I book my requirements?

Make sure to book your wedding essentials early to ensure that everything you need and want is available on your chosen date. Please note that the winter months are the peak wedding season in the Whitsundays, therefore it is recommended that you finalise your arrangements early to avoid disappointment.

What services are available?

Just about every service that you would require for your wedding is available locally from a large list of qualified wedding professionals. There should be no need to bring any services with you and incur the additional costs associated with the travel and accommodation for suppliers from interstate. Your wedding coordinator can assist in sourcing and recommending local suppliers.

Do I need a hair and makeup trial?

wedding-hair-makeupThe hair and makeup stylists in the Whitsundays are very experienced at what they do and style for weddings on a regular basis, therefore a trial is not absolutely essential.

However it certainly puts you at ease on your special day knowing exactly what the outcome will be and having built that rapport with your stylists.

When should I arrive for my wedding day?

Ideally you should arrive at least a few days prior to your wedding day. This allows you time to meet with your wedding coordinator to finalise all of your details, including a rehearsal of your ceremony and a site of the venue set up of the reception. You can also arrange your pre-wedding day pampering such as manicures and massages. Most importantly allow yourself time to un-wind before the big day so that you are nice and relaxed.

What can my guests do while in the Whitsundays?

There are a multitude of activities available to visitors to the Whitsundays that are both land and sea based. Why not supply your guests with information about the area when you send out invitations so that they may plan tours and activities ahead of their arrival. The reception team at the resort can advise on the best options and specials available on any given day and book tours and activities direct with operators for them on arrival.

Can we arrange a pre wedding party once all our guests have arrived?

The wedding is often the first time some family members get to meet each other, not to mention all the friends who travel to the Whitsundays from afar to join the bride and groom on their wedding day. With a Whitsunday wedding often turning into a two or three day affair, the opportunities for fun and bonding between friends and family are endless. Put tensions, fears and worries behind you as your new family meet together in one of the world’s top holiday destinations for an unforgettable experience. Family bonding activities in the Whitsundays are many and varied, with a large variety of activities to choose from both on the Whitsunday coast and islands that are both land and sea based.
